HUNTERS SCENDRO BELGIAN CHAMPION OFTHE FIVE YEARS OLD
Brecht and Brian had a flying start in Gesves, having all their horses clear through the first round. With the four years old, Hunters Icarus (Nonstop) -already WVUR champion – qualified for the final, without any problem. Unfortunately, he made a mistake, still showing a wonderfull result for such a young, promising stallion.
With the six years old, Hunters Argentus (Argentinus) rode two excellent qualification rounds, ending a the final on Sunday also without problems. In this final, Brecht started at full speed; however, Argentus didn’t see it that way and occured a fault, guaranteing a final place anyway to our top stallion.
Hunters Canatano Z (Canadian River) participated to the Cup of Belgium for seven years old and performed exquisitely. After a clear first round, Brecht made a mistake into the second qualification round, which costed him the victory in the end, as it showed out later. In the final at Saturday evening, Canatano jumped excellently!
Into the jump-off he finished at only a few tenths of a second of the final winner, earning a valuable second place. After his silver medal at Lummen in the belgian championships, again a beautiful result for Hunters Canatano, who will no doubt be seen into the Grand Prix competitions next year!

The absolute climax however, was the victory of Hunters Scendro, son of the already legendary Scendix, showing to be the relevation of the belgian championship. On Wednesday already, his demonstrative clear round had been received on a thunderous applause, doing the performance all over at Friday. The qualification round for the final showed to be no problem. Scendro jumped with a lot of grace and technique, seducting the audience. The jump-off had to point out a winner, but even in speed, Scendro showed to be invicible as Brecht piloted him swiftly over the very technical fences, and yes, one second quicker than his nearest attacker. So Scendro has become the belgian champion of the five years old in a very demonstrative way, nowing the number of starters was 250.
Next Sunday a foal show with barbecue will take place at the Hunters Stud Farm.
A 25 foals of all our horses will be judged. An ideal opportunity to evaluate the inheriting qualities of our stallions. Please subscribe before the 20th of August, especially if you want to participate to the barbecue.
